Orioles lose by two yet again to the Royals 6-4. Here's the latest news and notes surrounding the team.
Is OF Aaron Brooks to blame for the Brids' bad day? Most will argue yes as Brooks issued six hits and surrendered three runs on Sunday, including a two-run double to Hunter Dozier and an RBI single to Ryan O'Hearn in the opening frame. After being generously given four hall passes for walking players, the pitcher was finally pulled in the fifth inning after issuing yet another walk (and this time with only one out).
OF Trey Mancini's lone hit of three at-bats came at just the right time on Sunday. The outfielder went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI and even a walk, allowing for two runs in the third inning.
DH Mark Trumbo is back: the slugger will be activated from the injured list on Monday, following a knee injury. In the past he's batted .218/.295/.509 with four home runs over 15 rehab games and will most likely be used in a pretty limited role this month.
