The Ravens’ toughest, most exciting and best matchup all season long will be rolled into one game.

The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs will come to M&T Bank Stadium to face the Ravens on Monday, Sept. 28. The game will be on Monday Night Football.

Widely projected as the two top teams in the NFL entering the 2020 season, the Ravens and the Chiefs game will surely be one of the most-watched games of the season.

Defending MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, who won the award in his second season in the league, will face Patrick Mahomes, who won Super Bowl MVP against the 49ers in February. Mahomes also won the league MVP award in his second season in the league.

Both the Chiefs and the Ravens have led the NFL in points the last two seasons. Baltimore averaged 33.2 points per game in 2019 and Kansas City averaged 35.3 points per game in 2018.

In last season’s playoffs, the Ravens would have hosted the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, had they gotten past the Titans in the divisional round of the playoffs. The Ravens lost 28-13.

Jackson and the Ravens haven’t fared well against Mahomes and the Chiefs in recent years, as they lost in overtime in 2018 and then in 2019. This time, though, the Ravens will get their chance at M&T Bank Stadium.

The Ravens are not only hoping this is the year they finally best Mahomes, but also that this is the year they continue on the Chiefs' trajectory of having an MVP quarterback in one season, followed by a Super Bowl in the next.
