The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to be without their punter on Sunday when they travel to Baltimore for a Week 15 matchup with the Ravens.
For a team that's 1-12, riding a 12-game losing streak, and is a 13.5-point underdog, not having your punter seems...bad?
Logan Cooke, the Jaguars punter, likely would have had a busy day against an angry Ravens defense that loves playing with a lead. Instead, Jacksonville may turn to their kicker Aldrick Rosas for punting duties, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Cooke initially didn't make the trip to Baltimore with his teammates, and it was unclear if he would be able to make the game on time when he was considered questionable. Now, he has been ruled out with an undisclosed illness, and the Jaguars will have to do without him.
The underdog's punter probably wasn't going to be the difference in this game, but it could lead to some interesting special teams decisions if the game ends up close. The Jaguars are probably more likely to go for an extra fourth down conversion or two, especially if Rosas struggles with punting duties early.
Hopefully for Ravens fans, Rosas is on the field early and often - just as long as he's punting, and not kicking extra points.
