As the Ravens approach their 2020 season opener against the Browns, fans can breathe a sigh of relief regarding the health of their quarterback.
Lamar Jackson, who had missed a few practices dealing with a groin injury, told Sirius XM he's 100% healthy now.
“It’s 100%,” Jackson said, according to the Baltimore Sun. “It’s 100 now.”
Jackson is entering the third season of his career and has an 14-2, MVP season to follow up, so it's a good sign to see him healthy going into the year.
In a season like 2020, availability will be everything for contending teams. Preventing injuries and positive coronavirus cases could be the difference in a playoff spot and a bye week in the first round.
In that case, it'll be interesting to see if offensive coordinator Greg Roman limits the number of designed runs for Jackson early on to avoid the risk of injury.
