Lamar Jackson gained a lot of fans in his record-setting MVP season. Apparently, he made a fan of President Donald Trump, too.
Saturday afternoon, the popular Twitter account “The Checkdown” tweeted a video of Jaire Alexander’s excited reaction to Jackson being selected by the Ravens in the 2018 NFL Draft. The two played together at Louisville and Alexander was selected by the Packers 18th overall in the same draft.

Jackson responded to the video with an emoji this morning.

Then, Trump responded to Jackson’s quote tweet saying, “really nice to see this and, what a great pick!”

Jackson, despite his outstanding collegiate career, fell to 32nd in the NFL Draft in 2018. He became the Ravens’ starting quarterback that season and earned league MVP honors in 2019.
Now with a tattoo that reads, “Big Truzz,” Jackson responded in kind to Trump with a tweet that said, “Truzz Trump.”

“Big Truss” or now “Big Truzz” became a Ravens rallying cry for their 14-2 season in 2019, a phrase that had everyone from Jackson, to Mark Ingram, to coach John Harbaugh repeating it at weekly press conferences.
A few of Jackson’s current and former teammates responded to the Twitter interaction on their own accounts, too.
