Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters was reportedly fined $12,500 by the NFL for "unsportsmanlike conduct" during Monday Night Football against the Browns.
The punishment stems from an incident between Peters and Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry, who called Peters a "coward" after video surfaced of Peters spitting at Landry during the game.
Peters has categorically denied spitting at Landry intentionally, and Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has also come to the defense of his outspoken cornerback. Both parties have claimed that Peters isn't the type of player to shy away from confrontation - if he had a problem with Landry, he would have told him to his face.
Peters' agent has also chimed in, claiming that they will be appealing the fine.
This all comes with Peters missing practice all week with a leg injury ahead of the Ravens' Week 15 matchup with the Jaguars on Sunday.
