Ravens' Heisman winners welcome DeVonta Smith to the club

The Ravens have a healthy Heisman trophy contingent on their roster, and all three of them made sure to welcome Alabama receiver DeVonta Smith to the prestigious club Tuesday night.

Lamar Jackson (2016), Robert Griffin III (2011) and Mark Ingram (2009) congratulated Smith on Twitter shortly after he won the award over Trevor Lawrence, Mac Jones and Kyle Trask.

Smith became the first wide receiver to win the award since Desmond Howard did it in 1991, and he certainly earned it. Over 12 games, Smith caught 105 passes for 1,641 yards and 20 touchdowns, leading the FBS in all three categories.

Smith is also the third Alabama player to win the Heisman, along with Ingram and Titans running back Derrick Henry.

He could have been a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft but Smith decided to come back for his senior season. It seems like that decision was a smart decision. Smith has a Heisman trophy, a shot at another national championship and he's projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2021 draft

The Ravens' former Heisman winners weren't the only ones to congratulate Smith. Former Oklahoma Sooner Kyler Murray welcomed Smith to the fraternity as well.
