Ravens’ Harbaugh throws football for first pitch at O's game

John Harbaugh

John Harbaugh may have been throwing out the first pitch on a baseball field Sunday, but the Ravens’ head coach stayed true to his football roots by throwing a spiral to Orioles manager Brandon Hyde at Camden Yards ahead of Baltimore’s game against the Nationals.

Harbaugh pulled off a fake, running out onto the field with a baseball and glove before taking a handoff from the Oriole Bird and throwing the football toward home plate instead. Perhaps fans should’ve known when the ballpark started blaring the Monday Night Football theme song over the loudspeakers.

The appearance at Camden Yards comes three days before the Ravens begin training camp at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, Md. Harbaugh is hoping to lead Baltimore back to the playoffs after an appearance in the AFC Divisional Round last year.
