According to his fellow players in the NFL, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is the best player in the NFL right now.

In the NFL’s Top 100 list that aired on NFL Network, Lamar Jackson was ranked as the top player in the NFL ahead of Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson. The 2019 MVP led the Ravens to a 14-2 record in his first full season as a starter.

Jackson was honored, and surprised, he was named the NFL's top player.

The top five consisted of Russell Wilson, Aaron Donald, Patrick Mahomes and Michael Thomas. Last year, Donald was ranked the No. 1 player on the list.

Jackson led the league in touchdowns passes with 36 and set an NFL record for rushing yards in a season by a quarterback with 1,206. He was voted unanimous league MVP and was made first-team All-Pro.

To some of his teammates, there was no doubt who was No. 1 on the list.

Jackson, 23, is the youngest player ever to be the No. 1 ranked player on the list.

The Ravens scored 531 points, a 33.2 point average per game, as they ran through the NFL from Week 1 to 17. Jackson, at the center of it all, accounted for 43 total touchdowns and 4,333 total yards in 15 games.

Seven Ravens were on the list, a league-high. They were: Jackson (1st), running back Mark Ingram (44th), cornerback Marcus Peters (53rd), tackle Ronnie Stanley (74th), safety Earl Thomas (75th), defensive end Calais Campbell (79th) and cornerback Marlon Humphrey (86th).
