Ravens trade back, select Oklahoma WR Marquise "Hollywood" Brown

Ravens

The Ravens finally addressed their void at the wide receiver position Thursday night, selecting Oklahoma's Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown with the 25th pick, after moving back three selections following a trade with Philadelphia.

After a stellar year as the top receiving option for Heisman Trophy winner Kyler Murray, Brown was pegged by many as the top wideout in this year’s draft. Now, Brown will be catching passes from another Heisman Trophy winner in Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens acquired the 25th selection (Brown) as well as the 127th pick (4th round) and 197th (sixth round) in the swap with Philadelphia, who selected Washington State tackle Andre Dillard at No. 22.

To say that the draft choice was well-received in Charm City would be an understatement.

Brown, the cousin of Raiders' receiver Antonio Brown, was one of just two deep threats selected in the first round of this year's draft.

For a Baltimore squad lacking depth outside, Brown will fit in quite nicely. In 13 contests for the Sooners in 2018, Hollywood reeled in 75 receptions for 1318 receiving yards and ten scores.
