Ravens safety Anthony Levine’s leadership qualities came to light in a mic’d up segment released by the team earlier this week.
Levine Sr. shared wisdom with multiple teammates while on the bench about what advice helped him in his career.
Levine mentioned how Ozzie Newsome played a role in shaping his career. Newsome told a young Levine to “slow down and go make tackles.”
After taking that advice from an NFL Hall-of-Famer on how to contain his excitement, Levine said he made the team for the first time.
Levine went from undrafted to a two-time Super Bowl Champion with Baltimore. Now in year nine with the Ravens, it’s clear that he wants to impact the next generation.
Mark Ingram weighed in on Twitter and shared the reason why Levine is called Co-Cap by his teammates.
In the words of Ingram, "True leadership is invaluable."
