Redskins deal with training camp injuries
Taking a look at the injuries the Skins are dealing with
The Redskins have key players either returning from major injury or still suffering from one. We're taking a look at the progress of these players.
QB Robert Griffin III
Robert Griffin III is fighting his way back from an ACL tear during their playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks. RG3 has his eyes set on returning for Week 1 and looks like he is on pace to do so.
LB Brian Orakpo
Brian Orakpo tore his left pectoral muscle in Week 2 last season and missed the rest of the season. He stated back in May that he was 100 percent and ready to go. Orakpo has 29.5 sacks in his four seasons with the Redskins.
TE Fred Davis
Fred Davis tore his achilles' tendon in Week 7 last season and is now participating in training camp. Davis made 24 catches last season before he was placed on IR.
CB DeAngelo Hall
DeAngelo Hall suffered sprained ligaments in the back of his right ankle and could possibly miss the rest of training camp. Hall played all 16 games and had 4 interceptions last season.
OT Trent Williams
Trent Williams injured his left wrist in training camp, but it is labeled as a minor injury. It has been a nagging injury for Williams for the past year, but he expected to finish training camp.
DE Adam Carriker
Adam Carriker is out another 4-5 months after getting a third operation on his right knee that he initially injured in Week 2 last season. Carriker has 6.5 sacks in two full seasons with the Skins.
WR Pierre Garcon
Pierre Garcon spent the first-half of the 2012 season plagued with injury. He had offseason shoulder surgery and was cleared to play by Dr. James Andrews. Garcon is expected to begin the 2013 season at full-strength as the Skins number one receiver.
