Redskins

Time to switch it up with the Washington Redskins officially eliminated from the playoffs. This week we are looking at the games that impact the Redskins' draft order in the first round.

Now, let's be clear, no one here is telling anybody to root for the Redskins to lose. Some fans feel that way, others cannot imagine rooting for their franchise to lose a football game.

Nevertheless, these results below could impact the draft standing.

Before jumping in, tiebreakers for draft positioning are not determined by normal NFL tiebreaking procedures. It first goes to record, then the strength of schedule.

Based on that, here is the current 2019 NFL Draft order as it pertains to the Redskins:

No. 10 Carolina Panthers (6-9) - .484 strength of schedule
No. 11 Atlanta Falcons (6-9) - .500
No. 12 Denver Broncos (6-9) - .507
No. 13 Cincinnati Bengals (6-9) - .531
No. 14 Green Bay Packers (6-8-1) - .493
No. 15 Miami Dolphins (7-8) - .476
No. 16 Washington Redskins (7-8) - .482
No. 17 Cleveland Browns (7-7-1) - .507
No. 18 Philadelphia Eagles (8-7) -.527

That's right, the Redskins could finish anywhere from the No. 10 overall pick to the No. 18 overall pick. It all comes down to Week 17.

When looking at the draft order, note that the strength of schedule will change slightly based on Week 17's results. It shouldn't be a drastic shift, but could be enough to bump up and down the Redskins.
