Colt McCoy would like to clarify something about his milk-drinking habits revealed by Jay Gruden on Tuesday.
He does not drink a full gallon a day - despite what Gruden said, the QB told the Redskins' official website. He goes through a gallon in a little less than a week and uses it in cereal, just like everyone else.
“I grew up drinking raw milk because we had dairy cows and so it’s what I’ve always preferred to drink,” McCoy said. “I don’t drink a gallon of it every day like Jay says, but I do like milk and I do drink it raw.”
Gruden set the internet on fire on Tuesday when he told reporters - including NBC Sports Washington's JP Finlay that his QB drank a gallon of raw milk daily. "Right out of the teat," the Redskins coach said of the milk. So where does one even get raw milk near Ashburn (side note: here's something from the FDA worth reading before going searching for it yourself)?
“[Raw milk] is hard to find in Virginia,” McCoy told the team's website on Wednesday. “I can’t really tell you where I get it from because there’s a bunch of rules and regulations regarding raw milk, which is kind of crazy, I don’t understand it, but they certainly don’t sell it in stores because it’s unpasteurized.”
