Starting on May 4 and running until May 22, the Redskins Charitable Foundation is hosting a silent auction, with all of the proceeds from the auction going to local COVID-19 relief.
The auction will benefit United Way of the National Capital Area, a local non-profit that has created a fund to direct resources to organizations working to aid those in the area most impacted by the pandemic.
It's something worth participating in if you can — and here is the page where you can do so — because it's clearly going toward a good cause. But it's also worth participating in because some of the items up for auction are pretty sweet.
The three that stand out most are:
1) An autographed Ron Rivera football that also comes with a video message from the coach. If you ask nicely, maybe he'll end it with a hearty "Happy Thanksgiving."
2) A Q&A session with Chase Young on Zoom, which'll be moderated by Larry Michael. Young is probably someone you'd like to talk to, right?
3) A virtual workout with Vernon Davis over Zoom. Davis is ripped, so that's like having the chance to learn piano from Beethoven.
Beyond that trio, you'll also have the opportunity to bid on a signed Jonathan Allen jersey, a signed Tress Way football and plenty of other things any Burgundy and Gold supporter would love to add to their collection.
Again, here's the link to the page where the auction is being held. May 22 will get here before you know it, so get those bids in.
