Washington Redskins take a sigh of relief. You're off the hook for HBO's 'Hard Knocks' for the 2019 season.
HBO selected the Oakland Raiders for their 14th season of the show. The lights will be bright on polarizing personalities Antonio Brown, Derek Carr and head coach Jon Gruden.
Washington was one of the five teams eligible for this season. Jay Gruden lobbied hard for HBO to go out west and follow his brother's team, and they listened.
"If they were smart, they would go to Oakland," Jay Gruden said at a press conference. "I mean, think of the entertainment value that would be."
John Gruden went right back at his brother Tuesday with a sarcastic slight.
It looks more and more like the @Raiders will be featured on "Hard Knocks."

Jay Gruden isn't the only member of the Redskins organization reassured with HBO's final choice. Before the selection was made, tight end Vernon Davis voiced his concerns with the team potentially being featured.
"I'm not in favor because it's a distraction," said Davis. "Any time you have cameras following around guys not letting them be themselves, it's a problem."
With no cameras stalking them during training camp, the Redskins will be able to focus on what's important: winning games.
