After selecting eight players in what most analysts consider a successful NFL Draft last weekend, the Redskins supplemented their rookie class with another 14 college free agents.

The undrafted free agents signed by Washington represent players from the biggest programs and conferences in college football like Alabama and Nebraska, but also smaller schools and conferences like Grambling State and Stony Brook.

Football players come from everywhere, and the reason personnel men say "don't scout the helmet" is to remind themselves that it's the player, not the college or the conference, that makes it in the NFL.

Below is a full list of the undrafted free agents signed by Washington.

They will get their first chance to compete, along with the drafted rookies and a big collection of tryout players, at next week's Rookie Minicamp.

Let us know what player you think has the best chance of making the roster in the comments below.

A couple of notes on some of the undrafted free agents.

  • Clearly the Redskins want to add competiton at wide receiver. Of 14 UDFAs, five of them play wideout. Both Fields and Cobbs were productive, dangerous receivers in major conferences.
  • If Timon Parris can impress coaches this summer, don't be surprised if the Redskins try to get him to their practice squad. He has prototypical size for an NFL tackle and could be a developmental prospect. He could possibly even transition to guard, and that would help Washington.
  • A fullback? A fullback. Jay Gruden hasn't had an actual fullback on the roster since 2015, Darrel Young's last season in Washington.
  • Keep an eye on Martez Carter. Lightning quick but small, Carter came out of Grambling, which also happens to be Doug Williams' alma mater.
