Before Sunday's game against the Redskins, the Giants' season high for points was 38.
Well, New York nearly exceeded that number by halftime.
With Mark Sanchez under center, the hope for the Redskins was to turn Week 14 into a slow-paced matchup, one where they didn't turn the ball over and one where they didn't fall behind too much.
They failed on all fronts.
In fact, they failed so horribly that it actually contributed to a FedEx Field record:
So it's 34-0. This is the worst halftime deficit the Redskins have ever faced at FedEx Field.— Dan Steinberg (@dcsportsbog) December 9, 2018
The previous record for a 'Skins' deficit after 30 minutes was 31, which happened in the infamous "Monday Night Massacre" versus the Eagles in 2010.
There's a very good chance this particular game at FedEx Field ends up even infamous-er.
