The Redskins parted ways with longtime scout and front office employee Scott Campbell, per Pro Football Talk.
Per source, Washington has parted ways with veteran scout Scott Campbell; he was director of college scouting through 2017 draft.— ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) May 9, 2018
Campbell worked for the Redskins for nearly 20 years, and last season amid the departure of former general manager Scot McCloughan addressed the media in advance of the 2017 NFL Draft.
As part of the front office restructure after McCloughan's dismissal, Campbell's role changed from Director of College Scouting to Senior Personnel Executive.
Kyle Smith took over the college role, though with a different title. Smith is the Redskins Director of College Personnel, and was mentioned by Doug Williams and Jay Gruden as an integral part of the 2018 draft.
Campbell has worked in the NFL for more than 30 years.
