Fresh off an entertaining battle during the regular season between WR Terry McLaurin and CB Darius Slay, Slay was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles Thursday morning and reportedly signed a three-year, $50 million extension.
For Redskins fans that only means one thing: McLaurin vs. Slay twice a year.
That's something even McLaurin is excited about.
Congrats on the new deal G, you deserve it!. Looking forward to these battles 2x a year!💪🏾 https://t.co/MbauT5TGFp

When Washington faced Slay last season he was the leader of the Detroit Lions secondary. Washington walked away victorious, 19-16, and the then-rookie McLaurin gained the respect of the 3-time Pro Bowl corner.
Much respect young fella @TheTerry_25 every play was a battle💯✊🏽 https://t.co/N3fXewezrd

While both players show mutual love off the field, their on-field battles will turn up just a little when the division is on the line next season, and possibly many more years to come.
