Redskins vs. Falcons Inactives: No Trent Williams, Chris Thompson against Atlanta

The Washington Redskins (5-2) enter Week 9 against the Falcons (3-4) with all the momentum in the world but will have to compete for their fourth straight win without two of their most important offensive pieces.

All-Pro offensive tackle Trent Williams will not be in uniform due to a thumb injury he suffered in the Week 8 win over the Giants. In addition, running back Chris Thompson and wide receiver Jamison Crowder will also miss the Week 9 game with an ankle and rib injury, respectively. Sunday will mark Crowder's fourth consecutive missed game.

Without Williams leading the way and Thompson changing the pace, 33-year-old Adrian Peterson will be asked to do even more than he has already been able to to do. Helping the Redskins is the fact that the Falcons' defense has allowed more points than all but six teams through eight weeks.

Ty Nsekhe will start in place of Williams, and Kapri Bibbs will fill in for Thompson.
