Reports came out that the Redskins were benching Josh Norman and making him a healthy scratch early Sunday morning. Well, Washington quickly changed its mind, as Norman is active against the Lions.
The defensive line will be without one of their key contributors, as Daron Payne is inactive. Payne did not practice all week after hurting his ankle in Washington's blowout loss to the Jets.
Running back Adrian Peterson, who has been arguably Washington's most consistent offensive player, is active. Peterson missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, and only participated in a limited capacity on Friday while dealing with a toe injury.
Safety and special teams ace Deshazor Everett, who has not played since Week 5, returns to the lineup. Wide receiver Paul Richardson, who missed last week's loss with a hamstring injury, is back as well.
Detroit will be without starting quarterback Matthew Stafford for a third-straight week, as the longtime Lions signal-caller is still recovering from broken bones in his hip and back area. Jeff Driskel will start in his place.
