SEATTLE—The Redskins’ list of inactive players is just as scary as everyone thought it would be:
- OT Trent Williams
- C Spencer Long
- G Shawn Lauvao
- TE Niles Paul
- TE Jordan Reed
- DL Matt Ioniddis
- WR Jamison Crowder
If you’re keeping score, there are six starters on that list plus a key reserve.
With starters Williams (knee), Long (knees), and Lauvao (stinger) out and key reserve Ty Nsekhe active but likely available to play only in an emergency, the left side of the offensive line will the T.J. Clemmings at tackle, Arie Kouandjio or Tyler Catalina at guard, and Chase Roullier at center.
MORE REDSKINS: WHO WILL STEP UP WITH CROWDER OUT?
With Reed and Paul both out, the Redskins will have to rely on veteran Vernon Davis and rookie Jeremy Sprinkle at tight end. Davis is a known quantity but Sprinkle has been inactive for most games. Earlier this week Jay Gruden expressed confidence that Sprinkle can get the job done.
Ryan Grant likely will get most of the snaps in the slot while Josh Doctson and Terrelle Pryor work on the outside. Brian Quick, who has played only 11 snaps this year, will see some action to spell the starters.
