The Douglas County sheriff's office says they reported to a call of shots fired inside an apartment. Upon their arrival of the suspected residence, the police took Latimer and two other individuals into custody.
No one was injured as a result of the gunshots. Latimer is facing a handful of charges including assault, illegal discharge of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
He is held on a $25,000 bond, which he posted on Saturday.

After Latimer's arrest, his attorney told ESPN's Adam Schefter that there is a back story to the incident involving "one of the most highly provocative situations you can imagine." He requested the public to withhold judgment.
