Getting a congratulatory phone call from President Obama is pretty darn cool.
Making the cover of Sports Illustrated and then having a ticker-tape parade in your honor through the streets of New York City seem really cool, too.
But neither of those topped the list of things Ali Krieger has done since she and her 22 American teammates brought home the Women’s World Cup on July 5.
“Go on stage with Taylor Swift at her concert,” the Northern Virginia native answered when asked about her ‘coolest’ experience after the United States’ 5-2 victory over Japan. “That was an amazing, incredible experience.”

Krieger and other members of the U.S. squad attended Swift’s 1989 World Tour show at MetLife Stadium on July 10. They joined Swift on stage for her rendition of "Style" -- one of the more popular songs from the singer’s latest album.
“She was fan-girling, we were fan-girling and it was just awesome,” Krieger added. "And she was so excited that we were there, which made it even better.”
