The Black-and-Red are now on a three game win streak after beating the Montreal Impact 1-0 earlier tonight.
Chris Rolfe continued his strong year by scoring his ninth goal of the season in the 13th minute of the game, it was a classy goal by a player in top form. Jairo Arrieta had the assist, he sold out on a 50-50 ball to get it at the feet of Rolfe. From there it was just Chris and the goal keeper, Rolfe calmly buried the shot into the left corner to give his team the lead.
For the remainder of the game, Montreal peppered United's keeper with shots. Bill Hamid (eight saves) answered the bell every time, denying every shot the Impact had at tying the game.
There were 26 total shots taken in the game, that is how history was made. Of the 26 taken, the Black-and-Red only attempted one. That lone shot was enough to give United the win and the requisite three points in the standings. It also helped them make some history along the way.
