How it happened:
For the first time in three matches D.C. United found themselves down 1-0 after a goal by Cyle Larin in the 11th minute. United was unable to clear a corner kick and Larin used his 6’2” frame to muscle a shot into the top left corner of the net.
After being the aggressor for much of the second half, United got on the board in the 70th minute. Taylor Kemp made a nice free kick and Kofi Opare out jumped an Orlando defender to knock home a header. Just nine minutes later Jairo Arrieta set up Chris Rolfe with a beautiful ball giving United a 2-1 lead.
Milestone: Before tonight’s game United defender Bobby Boswell was recognized for making the 300th appearance of his MLS career.
Injury report: Fabian Espindola missed his second straight match with a right quad injury.
