On Tuesday the NWSL announced the schedule for the inaugural Challenge Cup that will be in place in lieu of a regular season in Herriman, Utah.

Eight of the nine teams will participate after the Orlando Pride withdrew from the event due to 10 members of the organization testing positive for the coronavirus.

The Washington Spirit will play four matches to help determine seeding in the knockout portion of the tournament. The Spirit's opponents are the Chicago Red Stars, the two-time defending champion North Carolina Courage, Portland Thorns FC and the Houston Dash. All eight teams will advance to the Quarterfinals.

Games will be broadcast on CBS and CBS All Access. All matches will re-air on CBS Sports Network.
