If you come at Kirk Cousins, Will Compton is going to come right back at you. And he's bringing SpongeBob with him, too.
That's a lesson a few NFL.com podcasters learned Friday, when a link to a discussion they had in which they disagreed with Cousins' NFL Top 100 ranking made its way onto Compton's Twitter timeline.
On a recent installment of The Dave Dameshek Football Program, Dameshek and one of his guests were upset with the fact that the Redskins quarterback landed ahead of Philip Rivers on the annual list. The NFL's Twitter account then sent out this link to the podcast that featured the anti-Cousins quote:
Enter Compton, who responded to that post with the meme that everyone is using these days to defend his teammate:

Zach Brown is now a member of the Redskins after agreeing to a deal with the team on Monday, and that's something Bashaud Breeland is totally cool with.
Adding a mobile linebacker who's coming off a Pro Bowl selection and produced stats such as four sacks and three forced turnovers last season is something that should benefit every level of Washington's defense. That fact isn't lost on Breeland, who sent out these tweets after seeing the news himself:
Will Compton is also very much in favor of the transaction:
With Brown now on the roster, the Redskins' defense will have new starters on the line, at linebacker and in the secondary in 2017. Along with a new defensive coordinator, that side of the ball will be looking much different than it did a year ago.

You know those April Fools' Day jokes that zoom right past, "Hey, that was pretty funny!" and end up more in the, "Yo, that was kinda messed up," territory? Well, Will Compton just added another entry into the list of pranks that are really well-executed but also NOT COOL, BRO.
Early on Saturday afternoon, at a time when many still haven't realized what day it is and what that day entails, the Redskins linebacker sent out this tweet:
On any other of the 364 days on the calendar, that message would signify that the Redskins and Kirk Cousins have come to some sort of contract agreement, something much of the fan base has been craving. But on April 1, all that message is good for is some laughs from its sender.
Many weren't happy with Compton after they figured out what he was up to, including Dale Earhardt Jr.:
Agreed, Dale. Agreed.
