Washington punter Tress Way is a seasoned vet on the football field, and on the couch a seasoned viewer The Bachelorette.
Way said in a Washington Football Team's "The Life" video that he got sucked into the franchise when he was back at Oklahoma and his now-wife invited him over to watch The Bachelor (they were just friends at the time.)
“I was trying to impress her, and I just wanted to spend some time with her. So I said, `you know what, I’m in. I’ll come over and watch it with you,’” he said. And since then he’s been hooked.
Bachelor nights are now a part of Tress and his wife's weekly routine. Right now, we're in the middle of a wild Season 16 of The Bachelorette franchise with Tayshia Adams (a quick recap for those who haven't been watching: In an unprecedented bit of drama, Adams took over for Clare Crawley who found love and left the show with contestant Dale Moss four episodes in.)
Now, Way says that since becoming a seasoned vet in watching the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise, he prefers The Bachelorette because he likes watching all the “dudes”.
When watching each guy step out of the limo Way says he's “like this guy, this is not my kind of guy. Then you got the other guys and it’s like you know what, this dude seems pretty cool, I’d like to have him over for some ping pong and chill a little bit”.
As far as his all-time favorite Bachelor, it’s Sean Lowe, a former Kansas State football player, from Season 17. "He was awesome, he was just like a dude I’m like I’d like to hang out with this guy,” Way said.
Lowe is one of the lucky ones who is still together with the winner from his season, Catherine Giudici. The happily married couple has three children together.
