Alex Ovechkin is now the king of multi-goal games

Capitals

Alex Ovechkin scored twice against the Blues on Wednesday night.

The Capitals' captain scored from his sweet spot not once, but twice, blistering two one-timers past goalie Carter Hutton.

When Ovechkin rocketed his second-period shot into the back of the net, he became the NHL's leader in multi-goal games since 1995 with 110 multi-goal games.

Countless NHL superstars have seen their careers come and go during that time period, and none of them had more multi-goal games than Ovechkin, who still has plenty of NHL seasons ahead of him.
