Robots are great.
Applied robotics help industries evolve and can do things humans are incapable of. Robots can defuse bombs, build machinery and help save the planet.
But robots are also terrifying. Things that move like human beings yet aren't human beings are incredibly unsettling.
Why do we bring this up? Only because at Capitals practice Friday afternoon, the team used a robot to help Evgeni Kuznetsov work on his stick work.
It's pretty cool yet also horribly frightening.
This is so cool. Kuznetsov vs. the robot. pic.twitter.com/vEnkHej5pZ— Isabelle Khurshudyan (@ikhurshudyan) March 3, 2017
Typically robots are implemented in the place of humans.
But with a coach standing at the side, this seems like a bit of overkill. Terrifying, anxiety-inducing overkill.
