New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall will not play Thursday against the Caps due to a lower-body injury. The team has said the injury is not related to the arthroscopic knee surgery that he had on Nov. 16 that forced him to miss two weeks. Andrew Gross was the first to report the news.
Taylor Hall (lower body) out tomorrow at DC. Not related to knee surgery. Vern Fiddler (lower body) out 3-4 weeks. Hall day to day.— Andrew Gross (@AGrossNewsday) December 28, 2016
Hall is considered day-to-day which means his status for Saturday's rematch in New Jersey could also be in jeopardy.
The former first overall draft pick is in his first year with the Devils and has eight goals and 15 assists in 27 games this season.
In addition to Hall, the Devils will be without veteran forward Vernon Fiddler who is also dealing with a lower-body injury.
