According to CSN Philly, he laid on the ice without moving until medics helped him onto a stretcher. Neuvirth was conscious and sitting upright on the stretcher as he was transported off the ice.
It has not yet been determined what caused Neuvirth to suddenly collapse, but he has been taken to Pennsylvania Hospital for observation. The Flyers said in a tweet Neuvirth is alert and they will release an update Sunday with more information.
Per GM Ron Hextall, Neuvirth is awake and alert and is being taken to Pennsylvania Hospital for observation. More info to come tomorrow.— Philadelphia Flyers (@NHLFlyers) April 2, 2017
