Derrius Guice turned himself into Loudoun County police officers on Friday night after being charged with domestic violence allegations.
The Washington Football Team running back was arrested on multiple counts including strangulation, according to a Washington Post report. Shortly after the news broke, the team announced that he had been released.
Last month Guice passed his physical and gained his medical clearance after spending two stints on injured reserve last season due to knee injuries. He missed his entire rookie season in 2018 with a knee injury also.
A second-round pick in 2018, Guice slid in the eyes of many due to character concerns. For two seasons in Washington, there had been no incidents until this arrest.
