Washington's NFL team has hired an attorney to "conduct a deep dive" into its own culture, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
That culture has come under serious scrutiny over the past few days. Here are the full details from Schefter, which he tweeted about on Thursday afternoon:
Washington’s NFL team hired DC attorney Beth Wilkinson to review the organization’s protocols, per league sources. While Wilkinson is expected to conduct a deep dive into the organization’s past culture, team officials are highly upset/frustrated about speculation running amok.

The Washington Post is preparing a story about its NFL team that is expected to highlight the culture that is existed. Within the past week, front office members Richard Mann III and Alex Santos, as well as radio play-by-play voice Larry Michael, all left the organization.

Wilkinson's hiring is just the latest development in what's become a very tense stretch for Dan Snyder's franchise.
Monday's announcement that the team would be retiring its previous name and logo has since been overshadowed by talk of a potential Washington Post story that's expected to uncover some serious issues within the organization.
The story, however, has yet to be released, despite the building rumors about its contents. The delay has been attributed to the need for lawyers to get involved, and now, that's obviously happening.
Last weekend, two front office executives, Alex Santos and Richard Mann II, were let go. Then, on Wednesday, longtime radio play-by-play man Larry Michael retired from his position.
Wilkinson's bio can be found here.
