Those inside the Nationals' promotional department must also really enjoy gardening.
Since the beginning of last year, the team has given away both a Jayson Werth garden gnome and a Jayson Werth Chia-Pet.
Ben Revere will get his likeness plastered on a garden gnome later this season and on Tuesday night, the Nationals have given away a Bryce Harper Chia-Pet.
While the final product looks fine, the process of getting there is something out of an Alfred Hitchcock film.
Step 1: This is not bad.
Should we grow chia on just Bryce's head? Or his beard too? pic.twitter.com/KvzP3cWly3

Step 2: OK. This escalated quickly.
Step 3: Are those bugs? Those look like bugs.

We find it hard to believe that any actual Bryce Harper chia pet will end up looking this normal.
