Bryce Harper and Kayla Varner finally tied the knot this weekend.
The Washington National slugger and former BYU soccer were wed at the Morman Temple in San Diego, where non-Mormans were not allowed to attend the official temple wedding. At the reception it was reported that teammates Jayson Werth and Trea Turner, in addition to Nationals GM Mike Rizzo, were in attendance according to the Washington Post.
Originally the high school sweethearts were set to be married in 2015 but the wedding was called off. At the 2016 ESPY Awards, Varner announced #TheSequel engagement of the two.
On Monday afternoon, Harper publically announced the marriage on Twitter.
