Weather forecast: Will the Nationals-Phillies play on Tuesday?

There is the threat for more severe weather in the D.C. area Tuesday, after Monday's game between the Nationals and Phillies was rained out.

Wednesday will feature a double-header between the two clubs, with each game scheduled to start at 1:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m., respectively. Tuesday's matchup may also be in danger of being postponed.

Tonight's first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., at which time there is a 60 percent chance of storms, according to NBC4 Washington.

There is a greater chance of storms over the course of the afternoon, peaking at 90 percent around 4 p.m. and 80 percent around 6 p.m. If the game is able to start, the conditions will likely be sloppy.

Conditions have a chance to improve after scheduled first pitch, with the chance of precipitation falling to 50 percent for the remainder of the evening.
