The Redskins' 2017 NFL Draft haul was met with nearly universal acclaim from experts and analysts. But if the 2018 NFL Draft goes anything like CSN's Ben Standig projects it to, those responses will probably be a lot more divided.
As of now, Washington and Kirk Cousins are guaranteed one more year together. Standig predicts that the two sides won't come to a long-term contract agreement, though, which is why he has the team trading up into the top of the draft and then selecting a major quarterback prospect.
"It's 2012 all over again," he writes.
So, which passer does he envision the Redskins ending up with, and for what price? Meanwhile, does the trend of running backs going early continue next April? And how many first-rounders will schools like Alabama crank out next time around?
