The Giants got blown out in Green Bay on Sunday, losing 38-13, and reports show that the team took out their frustrations on the United plane on the way back to New York, per a report in the New York Post.
Word of the destructive behavior began to leak out via social media as the plane the Giants traveled back from Wisconsin in was scheduled next for an international trip to London. Cleaning up from the Giants chartered flight took extra time, a lot of extra time.
Passenger Mark Kropf posted via Twitter, per the NY Post:
"The pilot came out and asked for everyone’s patience, and shared where the plane came from and that the plane needed extra help repairing and cleaning the interior. Another 30 minutes passed and the gate agent told us it was the Giants that destroyed the biz class cabin, and we saw service personnel walking countless seat cushions off the plane. Upon entering the business class cabin, the cleaning scent only partially masked the alcohol smell. I had popcorn, chewing tobacco and other food crumbs on my seat."
Sophomoric behavior to say the least, though United officials would not confirm the Giants were on the plane. It seems highly likely that the team did make the mess on the flight, just hours after making a mess of an early lead against Green Bay.
