Colt McCoy and his wife welcomed their second daughter to the world just before Thanksgiving, and McCoy revealed part of his baby girl's name is a tribute to Washington, D.C.

Remember that McCoy and his wife decided to induce labor on November 18th even though the baby was not due until Thanksgiving on November 24. The decision came as the Redskins were slated to play the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 20 and then play again against the Cowboys on the due date. Inducing the baby gave McCoy the best chance to be with his wife for the birth.

The plan went well, as his new daughter Brooke Lincoln entered the world around 9 p.m. on the 18th.

Asked about the name, McCoy revealed that the Lincoln Memorial is his wife's favorite monument in Washington, before adding that as a student of history, he's enjoyed reading many books about Abraham Lincoln.

McCoy's wife Rachel and baby Brooke Lincoln, along with big sister Sloane, are all doing well.
