Here's the single greatest advancement in the growth of fantasy football draft coverage from the prehistoric days to the modern world: The opportunity to express change of opinion. Not difference, but change.
The owner who walked into the neighborhood draft having done scant homework but armed with three magazines was in trouble from the start. Whether because of injuries or far more subtle angles like training camp production, changes occurred following publication of those periodicals. The unsophisticated owner just didn't know. Now with this fancy technology called the "Internet," fantasy writers and thinkers can convey their opinion changes in real time for the purposes of giving readers an edge heading into their drafts.
At this point in our 2015 fantasy football coverage, we've examined sleepers and potential busts, not to mention the overall rankings. As we enter the third and always pivotal third full week of preseason games, time to note which players are on the move, whether good or bad.
Bonus content: I just updated my tight rankings and added tiers. Rather than write a separate article, here you go. As for strategy, basically get one of the options in the first four groups or wait. Tier 5 is loaded with potential standouts but massive uncertainty. Rather than through a dart, target other positions and then circle back. Smile if Zach Ertz, Julius Thomas and Tyler Eifert slide. Also, Jordan Reed moves up a tier if he makes it through the remainder of preseason in one piece.
Tier 1: Rob Gronkowski (Patriots)
Tier 2: Jimmy Graham (Seahawks)
Tier 3: Travis Kelce (Chiefs), Greg Olsen (Panthers), Martellus Bennett (Bears)
Tier 4: Delanie Walker (Titans), Jason Witten (Cowboys)
Tier 5: Zach Ertz (Eagles), Julius Thomas (Jaguars), Dwayne Allen (Colts), Antonio Gates (Chargers), Jordan Cameron (Dolphins), Tyler Eifert (Bengals), Heath Miller (Steelers), Kyle Rudolph (Vikings), Owen Daniels (Broncos), Larry Donnell (Giants)
Tier 6: Richard Rodgers (Packers), Austin Seferian-Jenkins (Bucs), Jordan Reed (Redskins), Charles Clay (Bills), Eric Ebron (Lions), Vernon Davis (49er), Coby Fleener (Colts), Josh Hill (Saints)
