That's the message Junior Galette is sending to those criticizing the Redskins after their sloppy home opener against the Steelers. The injured pass rusher has definitely seen the reactions of many fans asking for the firing of Jay Gruden, the benching of Kirk Cousins and the banishment of the franchise to another planet (fine, that last one hasn't been written — yet).
His response to the collective anger and confusion? These two tweets, which he sent out on Tuesday:
In those two posts, Galette addresses the widespread panic over Washington's inability to keep the game close by pointing out just how good Pittsburgh is. He also backs up his teammates in the secondary and the defensive line, two position groups that are receiving a ton of heat following the 38-16 defeat.
Overall, the 28-year-old is hoping to make one thing clear: It was just one week. If the NFL schedule was four quarters long, the Redskins would be in trouble. But, as some on his timeline must be forgetting, it's not.
Take a deep breath everyone. The ship took on a bit of water Monday night, but it's not close to sinking yet.
