No matter what profession one pursues, it's wise to model yourself after the greatest people who've come before you in the career you've chosen.
If you're an aspiring actor, you'd be smart to study names like Matthew McConaughey and Tom Hanks. If you're hoping to become an author, you'd be intelligent to take after Ernest Hemingway and Harper Lee. And if you want to be an NFL safety, few players have better tape to watch than Sean Taylor.
Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor understands this, and he's been a fan of Taylor's for a long time now: The 27-year-old watches highlights of the Redskins legend before every game, and has admired him since he was growing up in Norfolk, Va. And on Tuesday, Chancellor continued paying tribute to Taylor long after Taylor's untimely death in 2007, as he posted a picture of #21 on his Instagram:
Every time I hit the field I sacrifice my body for him... I don't want to be him because we are who God created us to be, but I do want to finish what he started with what God gave me. #R.I.P #BigSafeties #HeavyHitters #SeanTaylor #G.O.A.T

The similarities between the two are obvious -- Taylor looked like a linebacker while patrolling Washington's secondary, and Chancellor is even bigger than him. In addition, Taylor and Chancellor both have a long list of pass catchers who have been on the receiving end of one of their devastating hits.
This isn't the first time Chancellor has done something like this on his page, however. In fact, this isn't even the first time this week that he's done something like this.
Just four days ago, he put up a video of him watching old Taylor footage along with the hashtag #GuardianAngel. Chancellor's Instagram is littered with many other photos of the safety who captured the hearts of Redskins fans everywhere, too, illustrating just how much of a connection he feels with Taylor. His admiration of the former Burgundy and Gold star is especially clear in this particular post, though, where he labels Taylor as the #G.O.A.T in the picture's caption -- an acronym for "the greatest of all time."
Chancellor already has a lot of fans in Seattle, Washington, as he's been a stalwart in the Seahawks' famous "Legion of Boom" for five seasons. But each time he talks about his love for Taylor, he probably picks up a few extra supporters from Washington, D.C, too.
