Each week, JP Finlay and Rich Tandler set over/under totals for various Redskins players production on their #RedskinsTalk podcast. On Fridays, Tandler and Finlay make their picks. With the 'Skins heading to Kansas City for Monday Night Football against an undefeated Chiefs team, the totals came in quite high. Make your picks in the comments below:
- Kirk Cousins 292 pass yards - After dropping 365 pass yards last week against the Raiders, this total for Cousins shot up. His first two games of the year were subpar for his skillset, but against Oakland, Cousins showed how good he can be. Tandler: Under. Finlay: Over.
- 110 total rush yards - The Redskins commited to the ground game against the Raiders, running the ball 34 times for 116 yards. That comes one week after a 229-yard outburst from the run game in Los Angeles. Jay Gruden has repeatedly talked about his team's need to stay balanced offensively, and outside of a Week 1 loss to Philadelphia, the coach has stood by that word. Tandler: Over. Finlay: Under.
- 31 minutes time of possession - One factor that propelled the Redskins to the 27-10 thumping of the Raiders was that Washington controlled the ball for more than 38 minutes of the game. In the win over the Rams, the 'Skins held onto the ball for more than 36 minutes. The recipe for Burgundy and Gold wins seems simple enough: run the ball and control the clock. Kansas City's offense has more of a quick-strike, home run element, and in two of their three wins, the Chiefs have possessed the ball for less than 30 minutes. Tandler: Over. Finlay: Over.
