On Thursday afternoon, the Redskins officially parted ways with defensive coordinator Joe Barry and three of his positional coaches.
The Redskins' defense was the source of much criticism throughout the 2016 season, and the stats did back up much of the complaints.
With the team not yet a full week into the offseason, names are already starting to swirl around who will replace Barry.
CSN's JP Finlay detailed a list of potential candidates, and one of those candidates — recently fired Bills head coach Rex Ryan — piqued the interest of Redskins' defensive lineman Junior Galette.

Galette hints at not just Rex Ryan, but his brother Rob Ryan, who served as Rex's defensive coordinator in Buffalo.
But prior to that, Rob was the defensive coordinator for the Saints from 2013-15. Galette was a integral part of the Saints' defense from 2010 until 2014 and played under Rob before signing with the Redskins prior to the 2015 season.
