With long snapper Nick Sundberg possibly out with a back injury, the Redskins have signed long snapper Rick Lovato to fill his place, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Schefter tweeted out the news earlier this afternoon:
If Redskins hadn't signed Rick Lovato, their backup long snapper would have been QB Colt McCoy. Would have loved to have seen that.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) November 19, 2016
Prior to joining the Redskins, Lovato, 24, was a member of the Chicago Bears practice squad before playing for the Green Bay Packers.
The Redskins will have to release someone from the active roster to make room for Lovato. Stick with CSN for the latest news on that.
