Reports show that the Redskins will not take part in HBO's acclaimed NFL inside access show Hard Knocks. Instead, the Houston Texans will get the air time.

Earlier this month reports emerged that the Redskins were finalists for the show along with Houston and Buffalo. Many expected the HBO show to head to Cleveland for training camp, but the Browns resisted the show in efforts to support quarterback Johnny Manziel in his rehab from alcohol abuse and personal trouble.
HBO wants interested parties for the show, and with the Browns request to not take part, the request was granted. John Keim of ESPN also reported the Redskins did not want to take part in the show. What's interesting, however, is the Redskins asked fans via social media if the team should take part in Hard Knocks.

Fans seemed split on the topic. Many wanted the inside access to the Redskins training camp that Hard Knocks provides, while others thought the show would be a distraction for a team that doesn't need any. Now, it appears, the debate is moot, and the extra cameras will head for Houston.
