Kirk Cousins has a reputation for being a football addict. In fact, his personal quarterback coach, Jeff Christensen, thinks that the Redskins' signal caller is the most dedicated pupil he's taught — and he says he's taught 2,500 QBs in his career. Statements like that mean no one will be questioning Cousins' love for the game anytime soon, but more evidence of that commitment emerged on Thursday.
Want to see a picture of young Kirk wearing shoulder pads at his sister's birthday party? Of course you do. Check out this epic photo from the recently franchised passer himself (screenshot from Sqor.com):
Taking off your jersey and pads before taking part in a family event? Ain't nobody got time for that, especially the kid version of Cousins. He probably had to be dragged in from the backyard where he was working on his craft, and it looks like he's thinking to himself, "Hurry up and blow out those candles, sis, I have some film study to take care of."
Most professional athletes are passionate for their sport early on in life, but seeing how the now 27-year-old displayed that passion by wearing what is essentially a full uniform despite being indoors shows that Cousins is about as devoted as it gets. He turns 28 in August, by the way; hopefully he breaks out the pads again for that big day.
